The TOGGLE-AIRE® Model 530 Is Constructed of 3 Basic Units

1. The HEAD houses a precision fitted square ram, the toggle, linkage, and the driving cylinder
2. The COLUMN is 1 3/4" dia. steel keyed to head. Length can be varied to suit any application. A rise and fall unit clamped to the column makes setting of tool depth precise and simple.
3. The BASE has a working area 0f 6" x 8". Two tapped bosses underneath allow easy mounting to bench.

The TOGGLE-AIRE® Model 530, 1/2 Ton press is a fully pneumatic toggle action press designed for use in both single stroke and automated applications.

As a single stroke press, it is supplied with one of our SYNCHRO-SIG Series Two Hand Actuators, ( See the SS-DM and SS-OT Actuators in the Accessories Section) and all control components necessary for two hand, single stroke operation. You can choose either our BEM or CSR-G2 valving systems to best suit your application. Both systems insure completion of a positive, accurate stroke every time the press is activated. The ram will not return to the top of its stroke until you reach the ram depth you have set and the press has developed its rated strength. The CSR-G2 systems features an instantly reversing ram should the operator remove one or both hands from the two hand actuator. Both systems guard against inattention of operator, loss of air pressure, improper loading, etc., and help maintain the quality of the work being performed. While producing a powerful, shockless squeeze, our control systems also insure the accuracy and precision of the stroke with repeatability being plus or minus .001"

Additional features include fully muffled exhaust for quiet operation, easily adjustable ram speed control, a "set-up" valve which holds the ram down while tools are being set, and the availability of automatic air ejection. The square ram eliminates the need for tool guidance and makes the Model 530, 1/2 Ton press the ideal choice for operations requiring the consistency and precision not generally found in presses of this size and power.
